Mark your calendars! The Utah Public Employees’ Association’s (UPEA’s) 2020 General Council will be held March 26-27 at the Salt Lake City Marriott University Park Marriot Hotel.
UPEA asks each district to send a certain number of representatives, or “delegates,” to General Council to vote on important matters regarding internal policies, procedures, and bylaws, and to help plan for the coming year. Delegate seats are determined based on the number of members represented in each district.
All employees attending the event will be granted administrative leave for March 27. Delegates from outside the Salt Lake area have the option to reserve a hotel room paid for by UPEA. Delegates living within 45 miles of the hotel may purchase a room reservation at a discounted rate.
This year’s event will include a keynote speech on personal and interpersonal effectiveness by Todd Davis of Franklin Covey, as well as several workshops focused on legislative information, financial awareness, and much more.
Registration forms will be sent to district leaders in the coming weeks. If you’d like to attend, please reach out to your UPEA representative. All registration forms are due by Feb. 28.
