Question: Where do you work? How long have you worked there?

Answer: I work out of the Central Region Office for the Division of Wildlife Resources.  I have worked for [Utah Division of Wildlife Resources] for almost 28 years and have really enjoyed the job that I have.

Q.: How long have you been a member of UPEA?

A.: I have been a member of UPEA since early 1992 when I was hired to work in the Glenwood Fish Hatchery. My supervisor, Paul Harmer, handed me a form to sign and didn’t tell me what I was signing.  As a new hire, I had been signing lots of forms and had gotten tired of reading all of them, I just signed them. Soon after, I was notified that I was a member of UPEA and I haven’t regretted it once since then.

Q.: Which UPEA positions have you held?

A.: I have held several leadership positions within the Law Enforcement District including chairman and advisory representative.  I also had the privilege of serving as the second and first vice president, president and past president of UPEA.  I have also been involved with the Citizen Action by Public Employees (CAPE) Committee and the Legislative Committee. I currently serve on the State Board of Directors.

Q.: Why did you become involved in leadership?

A.: I became involved with both the Advisory Committee and State Board because I wanted to gain a better understanding of UPEA and be able to help further the great work UPEA staff is involved in.  I enjoy being a part of an organization that is working so hard for the employees of the State.

Q.: What do you value most about UPEA?

A.: I enjoy all the great folks who I get to associate with by being a member of UPEA.  I get to work with a lot of very dedicated individuals who are working hard to make state government better every day.

Thank you for your continued dedication and support for UPEA!
