Subject: Position on payroll dues deduction

Dear [Your Legislator’s Name],

I am writing as your constituent to oppose House Bill 285, Labor Union Amendments, sponsored by Rep Teuscher. This bill will eliminate payroll dues deduction for UPEA. Payroll deduction allows me to have my employee association dues deducted right from my paycheck.

I believe dues deduction for employee labor associations is no different than having donations and payments deducted for other state approved charities and vendors.

Please support public employees by allowing them to keep payroll deduction for UPEA dues.

Sincerely,
[Your Name]
